Target Audience
-The target audience is healthcare providers caring for ACS patients in emergency/urgent care/nursing stations
Access and Availability
-The go live date is tentatively end of June, 2025
-Will be available through the Shared Health LMS Platform, a copy will be shared with the Northern Health Region for use in their LMS
-Nursing Stations will be provided a generic LMS account to access
Navigation/Content
-Side menu shows topics and can be used to navigate back to completed content
-Course designed for both urban and rural care providers. The case studies section is customized to the provider’s work location
-3 sections:
Introduction: provides some foundation information and resources including ACS Network algorithms and ten-minute tracing poster, scenarios focused on identifying patients who require an ECG within 10 minutes of first medical contact and opportunities to identify a STEMI on ECGs
Case studies: majority of the course is in this section. Here providers are presented with four patients, for each the provider make a series of decision and then provided with some feedback
Wrap-up: includes a resource document that contains links to a number of related resources. Option to complete a survey and print certificate
